Entering its 10th edition, the 'Hong Kong Illustration & Creative Show' (Hong Kong Illustration & Creative Show, HKICS 10) will be held at Hall 3E of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 20-21 December 2025. As one of the most representative illustration and original IP exhibitions in Hong Kong, HKICS will feature the theme '10th Anniversary Birthday Party' this year, bringing together over a hundred Asian and local original IPs, from popular illustrations, trendy designs to AR digital arts, showcasing the creative energy and commercial potential of illustration culture all at once.
Huang Ama's First Appearance in Hong Kong; 5 Million Fans IP Steals the Show
Taiwan's popular illustration brand, 'The Life of Huang Ama's Harem', with a global fan base of over 5 million, will be making its first official appearance in Hong Kong at HKICS 10. During the exhibition, there will not only be fan meetings, but also the launch of various Hong Kong limited-edition merchandise, as well as a limited-edition Photo Box specially created for this edition of the exhibition, featuring 6 'Life Quadrant' frames, unique in style and highly collectible, which is set to become the centre of attention.
The fan meeting will be held on Saturday, 20 December, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, with details to be announced later via official platforms.
Asian Heavy-weight IPs Make Their Appearance
To celebrate the 10th edition, HKICS 10 has specially invited several Asian and local popular IPs to join, including the 80-year-old Hong Kong classic brand Camel, Korean popular illustration brand Mr. Donothing, Thai trendy brand Missing The Cat, Japanese cute brand Lemon & Sugar, and Hong Kong's digital punk representative Pure Studio, among others. The organiser also hinted that there might be IP mascots 'roaming' around during the exhibition, bringing more interactive surprises to the audience.
Five Style-themed Zones Create an IP Adventure Land
This edition of the exhibition takes 'IP Adventure Land' as its core concept, gathering over a hundred original IPs and dividing them into five style-themed zones: Anime Hot Zone - H Land; Fantasy Creation Domain - K Land; Literary Youth Magazine - I Land; Cute Healing Zone - C Land; Trendy Dynamic Zone - S Land. It will comprehensively present the diverse facets of illustration creation in different cultures, styles and market positioning, allowing the public and industry insiders to explore the latest trends and development potential of original IPs in one go.
Release of ILLUSMONTAGE 2026 Illustration Yearbook, Recording the Creative Power of Asian New Generation
The 2026 Hong Kong Illustration Yearbook, ILLUSMONTAGE, which has been drawing much attention from the industry, will be officially released at HKICS 10. The yearbook carefully selects and includes works from 124 Asian illustrators, spanning five major categories: illustration, advertising, animation, publishing and graphic design. It is not only an annual record of visual arts but also an important indicator for observing trends in the illustration industry. This year's cover is designed by the popular local illustrator K.Chung, who will also be present at the exhibition for a book signing event, exchanging insights on creation with readers and fellow creators.
Dual Illustration Exhibitions: AR Technofantasy × Winter Night Poetry
In terms of art exhibitions, HKICS 10 presents two illustration exhibitions with distinct styles. Among them, the AR digital gallery Rhapsody of Cybercity by illustrator PureHay, reshapes the Hong Kong cityscape with cyberpunk aesthetics, allowing viewers to enter a future world of virtual and real intersections through AR technology; while the 'Poetry of Winter Night' illustration joint exhibition features the joint creation of multiple Hong Kong illustrators, depicting the quietness, warmth and fantasy of winter nights with delicate brushstrokes, showcasing the emotional depth of local illustrations.
Camel's 80th Anniversary Special Exhibition Witnesses the Evolution of Hong Kong Design
Local classic brand Camel celebrates its 80th anniversary this year, and a special anniversary exhibition will be held at HKICS 10, showcasing limited-edition vacuum flasks from collaborations between the brand and 80 classic and popular IPs over the years, including Hello Kitty, Kuromi, Moomin, Kowloon Walled City, and multiple Hong Kong artist crossover styles, reviewing how the brand transforms everyday items into cultural and design carriers through creative crossovers.
Sharing Sessions and Interactive Experiences Fully Upgraded
During the exhibition, there will be multiple sharing sessions, including a sharing session by popular illustrator Rokku Xiao Su, who has over 0.17 million followers, on Sunday, 21 December, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, about her illustration creation journey and cross-field experiences. In addition, there will be a 10-metre-high giant graffiti wall, a stamp rally interactive game, limited-edition New Year's postcards designed by Japanese illustrators, as well as 10th-edition commemorative gifts, providing a highly interactive and engaging experience for the audience.
